Toenail Tuesday

Hi Friends!!

Man, I miss you guys so much.  Can you believe I've been providing this free service for more than 20 years now?  I've only missed 1 month in all that time and that was to have a baby!!  This whole virus thing is a real doozy, it's already claimed 2 months and now it is claiming a 3rd!!!  None of us could have ever predicted something like this could last so long.

Despite the fact that we miss you all very much it isn't yet safe enough to have Toenail Tuesday again this month.  Toenail Tuesday for May 19, 2020 is officially cancelled.  I know many of you will be disappointed and concerned so I've put together a list of options that might help you through another month.

1.  I've produced 2 videos offering tips for attempting an AT HOME NAIL TRIM.  Although one is geared for small dogs and one to large dogs, watching them both can be beneficial for you if you're looking for helpful tips.

Small Dog Nail Trim

Large Dog Nail Trim

2.  YOUR VETERINARIAN will likely be accepting nail trim appointments now.  They are likely providing nail trims as a drop off service and not allowing pet parents inside quite yet.  They will notify you of their current standards of practice when you make your appointment.

3.  GROOMERS are another option as they have been cleared to open as well.  They will inform you of their current practices when you call as well.  Many places, as you know, are not allowing people to wait inside buildings.

4.  If you have challenging circumstances for your pet, I am able to do some HOUSE CALLS for nail trims now.  This service is only available outside at this time and not inside your home.  There is a fee associated with this service and is available by appointment only and subject to availability.

I hope to see all of your shining faces and furry family members in June!  Our host hospital, Magrane Pet Medical Center, is following orders and recommendations carefully. They will hopefully be able to allow pet parents inside their facility in June.  As you know, there are no guarantees with this virus and we are all striving to provide you and your pets with the utmost in safety.
